IRS Notices

An Enrolled Agent is a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the IRS and have unlimited representation rights before the IRS for individuals and businesses.

Bring your photo ID, Social Security numbers, income statements (W-2s, 1099s), expense records, any tax documents you received and A personal organizer (select from the download PDF menu above).

My fees are based on the complexity of your tax situation, the forms required, and the time needed to prepare an accurate return. I'm are happy to provide a quote after reviewing your specific needs. Contact me for a personalized estimate.

Preparation time depends on the complexity of your tax return. Returns with multiple businesses or investment income generally take longer than those with a single job and simple finances.

Providing all required documents upfront—especially W-2s and 1099s—helps avoid delays. Most returns are completed within one week of our meeting, and often sooner if all documents have been uploaded.

Select Transcripts to access your Wage and Income transcripts that the IRS has on file. If filing jointly , each taxpayer will need to access their individual (SSN) transcripts.

Most electronically filed returns receive refunds within 21 days of IRS acceptance. Paper-filed returns typically take six weeks or longer.

Direct deposit is the fastest refund option, while mailed checks may add two or more weeks. You can track your refund status anytime at IRS.gov after your return is accepted.

Treasury is now requesting direct deposit for refunds, paper checks will take 6 to 8 weeks.

Select the Quick Links menu above check.

An extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay. Any tax owed is generally due by the regular filing deadline. Paying late may result in IRS penalties and interest.

IRS Collection Powers

I can help you become compliant by preparing prior-year returns and working with the IRS when necessary.

The IRS has a payment plan that you can set up and will work with you. If you can't pay, file your taxes, on time, to avoid a failure to file penalty.

  Stay calm.

An IRS audit notice does not necessarily mean you made a major mistake or owe additional tax. Usually these are computer generated, with a timeline requesting documents. Be aware, the date you receive the CP notice may be weeks after it was produced, so your time is already short. Don't Ignore!

Just because the IRS says you owe additional tax, doesn't mean you can't contest. Gather and organize the documents  requested, then consult a qualified tax professional.
